Dec 08-14
Whole week there was a dense fog with exception to one day. I couldn't resist and went for a run. Made new PR again on 5K with pace 5.07/km.
Days were alike and constant fog made it feel claustrophobic.
Veronika felt under the weather and It looked like she just got cold. It wasn't improving much so we both rather did test on Covid - both negative. On Friday my father with Evka arrived for an advent weekend visit. Saturday we spent walking in the city center, visited a Macedonian restaurant. Food was surprisingly good but selection was disappointing again. Evenings we spent at warm home drinking a really good wine (Korlat) and just talking. Veronika felt worse, lost voice but didn't have fever so she didn't join us and spent her time studying. Timing was bad. On Sunday we went to buy oranges at Hendrix bridge and later in the evening we went to see a city center.
Christmas markets and decor was very nice, not a lot of foreign tourists, quite a lot of people but not crowd as in Prague. Overall feel was nice.
I really miss Czech cuisine, restaurants and overall gastro. Its just non-existing here.
On sunday I felt that I might have caught something as well.
