Work-heavy week. Monday started with an urgent issue that I managed to resolve 10 hours later without a break. Veronika left on Tuesday and I stayed mostly busy with work but fortunately not up to a Monday baseline.
Weather went full summer again and one day I decided just to make a longer slow stroll around city center. With confidence I can tell that I already know wide center Zagreb very well. West side of the center has almost no greenery, but for some reason I still liked it. Lots of warm overheated concrete streets dust and dense residential buildings.

On a way back I walked through part of town with thin roads surrounded with small one to two story houses. Something difficult to describe but quite unique.
Next day I've set my new target for an exploration: North East part of Zagreb - Dubrava and oh boy what a beauty did I find.

I don't even know whats the name of this style, but Its beautiful. I'd dare to say it immediately stayed on top of my ledger.

Another INA building with a nice logo

And on a way back I've used my favorite cyclo-route under the railway which I've realized its the only railway heading east from Main Train Station. Can you imagine to have just a single double railroad lifted on pillars heading from a center outside from a town? I love it.

And another hospital on the way back

During a weekend I went to visit Medvedgrad. Way there were steep as hell, sometime perhaps over 20 degrees and the temperature was over 30 degrees. Basically way to many degrees all over but I've survived with dignity. View was worth it.

My next destination was tunnel just next to cableway entrance that is also start of the road to Medvednica.

Observation

  • Even that Zagreb is mostly empty now, playgrounds are still a place to meet for kids and even elderly people to spend their time.

Training

  • 71km cycling
  • single 10km walk

Backlog

  • Dubrava stays still uncovered.
  • Take care of few duties in Prague
